In Luke 7:31-35, Jesus compares the people of His generation to children sitting in the marketplace, complaining that nothing is ever good enough. John the Baptist came one way, Jesus came another—and they found a reason to reject both.
And if we're honest, we haven't changed much.
We'll find almost any excuse to reject the truth when it challenges our pride, our preferences, or the way we want to live.
